Awareness and training program on “SAVING LIVES, SAVING FACES.”

Lucknow।Under the able guidance of Director Dr. RMLIMS and Vice Chancellor KGMU Prof. Soniya Nityanand, the Department of Dentistry at Dr. RMLIMS,  organised an awareness and training program on “SAVING LIVES, SAVING FACES.” This was conducted today, on 12/1/24, 12 noon, at LT-1 at Oncology Bhawan, Dr. RMLIMS. 

This aimed to propagate road traffic safety awareness to bring down the increasing number of trauma victims in our country.

The program was attended by medical and dental residents, nursing students, nursing officers and faculty.
Dean Prof. Pradyumn Singh and CMS Prof. A.K. Singh gave their blessings for the important cause. Dean student welfare Prof. A.P Jain emphasised on the mandatory use of seat belts and helmets to prevent facial trauma. 

Prof Shally Mahajan, 
Dentistry, briefed about how accidents can drastically affect lives. Dr. Padmanidhi Agarwal, Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, explained about their role in oro-facial trauma management.  
A video message by the Hon'ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, Shri Nitin Gadkari was also shown in the same regard. 
Prof. Dharmendra, Prof. CTVS shared experiences, Dr Pragya Pathak, Vice Principal, College of Nursing, were graciously present. PRO Nimisha Sonkar and Media Nodal officer along with Media PR cell were actively involved in the program. 
In the end all participants took a pledge to follow road safety measures.
