'Awadh Chitra Sadhna Film Festival’ will be organized in Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University.

Lucknow desk (R L Pandey).A two-day 'Awadh Chitra Sadhna Film Festival' will be organized on 16th and 17th November at the Atal Bihari Bajpayee Auditorium in Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University. The program was presided over by Prof. N.M.P. Verma, Vice Chancellor of the University. Shri Narendra Thakur, Akhil Bhartiya Sah Prachaar Pramukh, will be present as the chief guest in the program. Apart from this, Mr. Atul Pandey, Bollywood film producer, Guest of honour and Prof. Govind Ji Pandey, Head of the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, BBAU will be present in the program.

About fifty films will be shown in this two-day film festival. These films are in professional, campus and off-campus categories and five awards will be given in each category. Best Film (Fiction), Best Film (Non-Fiction), Best Cinematography, Critic Award, Best Director, A prize of Rs 10,000 in the student category and Rs 20,000 in the professional category, trophy and certificate will be given to the winners.

In this festival, films of students and professionals from all over the country represent every section of the society. Gulli Danda, Siberian Crane, Bade Bhaisaheb, The Delivery, Ram Mandir, Dilkusha Kothi, Mahua, Antarnaad and other fifty films made the audience laugh, cry and talk about the left out people of the Society show the issues seriously. There will also be two master classes on acting and film making in this film festival in which film maker Atul Pandey and famous Lucknow artist Anil Rastogi will interact with the students. During the Valedictory session, Shri Anant Vijay, Senior Journalist will be present as chief guest and Shri Pawan Singh Chauhan and Shri Manoj Kant will be present as Guests of Honour.
