CSIR-CIMAP celebrates 83 rd CSIR Foundation Day
 
Lucknow desk (R L Pandey). CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) celeberated CSIRFoundation Day on Friday, 27 September 2024 at Utsav Hall, CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow. Onthis occasion, Major (Professor) Sanjay Kumar, Hindi Department & Associate NCC Officer,Ramlal Anand Mahavidyalaya, University of Delhi was chief guest, Dr. Ajit Kumar Shasany,
Director, CSIR-NBRI was the guest of honor.
 

Dr. Prabodh Kumar Trivedi, Director, CSIR-CIMAP, welcomed the respected guests in hiswelcome address, he apprised the audience about the contribution of CSIR in last 83 years.He praised the contribution of scientists, technical and administrative employees, who havecompleted 25 years in the institution.Major (Professor) Sanjay Kumar, Hindi Department & Associate NCC Officer, RamlalAnand Mahavidyalaya, University of Delhi, congratulated everyone for the 83 rd foundationday of CSIR.

He quoted destiny of India is formed in schools, colleges and institutions likeCSIR-CIMAP. He applauded CSIR-CIMAP’s affection and respect towards our officiallanguage Hindi. Dr. Ajit Kumar Shasany, Director, CSIR-NBRI was the guest of honor, praised the efforts ofCSIR, which has now been acknowledged at global level and also expressed appreciation forthe progress made over the years. In his talk, he elaborated his journey from being a smalltown scholar to CSIR-NBRI’s director and receiving the prestigious INSA fellowship.

The Annual Report of CSIR-CIMAP and Hindi magazine Aus-Vigyan was released bydignitaries, followed by felicitation of scientists and employees for completing 25 years’service at CSIR-CIMAP. Later, the prize distribution of various competitions, organizedunder Hindi Pakhwada and Swachta Pakhwada was done by the respected guests.Dr. Prabodh Kumar Trivedi, Director, CSIR-CIMAP, honoured the guests with shawl,memento, and product kit of CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow. At the end, vote of thanks was givenby the program conveyer Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-CIMAP. About 300 scientists, research students and employees of the institute were also present in the program.
