IIAST, Integal University sets record, first in the Region to be Awarded ICAR accreditation

24th October 2024, Lucknow:Integral Institute of Agricultural Science & Technology (IIAST), of the Integral University, Lucknow, a NAAC A+ accredited institution, secured prestigious ICAR accreditation, from the Department of Agriculture Research & Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, Government of India.

Notably, IIAST has become the first in the region in the past 75 years to earn this recognition. Hon’ble Chancellor and Founder, Prof. Syed Waseem Akhtar called it a distinguished milestone and stated that it strengthens our dedication to serving our community and fostering sustainable practices in agriculture.

While conveying his delight, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar said, “We believe that this accreditation will enhance our institute's reputation and strengthen our partnerships with industry stakeholders, furthering our impact in the community and beyond”.  Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Javed Musarrat expressed his gratitude and said, “As we celebrate this achievement, we remain focused on our vision of fostering”.

This recognition has been given to the institution for its contribution in advancing agricultural practices through education, innovative research, comprehensive training programs, and partnerships with industry leaders. Prof. Haris Siddiqui, Registrar and Director, IIAST, also congratulated the faculty members, staff and students, for their efforts in achieving the recognition.
