Integral University Turns 32: Honoring the Founder’s Legacy and Dedication to Excellence
While talking about the origin and development of the institution, Madam Chancellor and Co-Founder, Mrs. Azra Waseem talked about the institution's origins and growth, alongside detailing the founder's endeavors and the obstacles he overcame. Hon'ble Pro-Chancellor Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar highlighted the efforts of the founder and said, “He stands as a remarkable testament to patience and perseverance, consistently working hard for the advancement of this institution and community”.
Honourable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Javed Musarrat stated that, “ The founder's commitment and vision have transformed Integral University into a model of learning, enlightenment, and knowledge that knows no boundaries, and we are confident that the university will continue to thrive”.
Special guests, Prof. Furqan Qamar, Former Secretary General, Association of Indian Universities, Lt. General Zameer Uddin Shah, Former Vice-Chancellor, AMU, Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali, Chairman, Islamic Centre of India, Mr. Tanuj Punia, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Barabanki, Maulana Mohibbullah Nadvi, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Rampur, Mr. R. K. Chaudhary, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Mohanlalganj, honored the occasion with their presence, expressed congratulations to everyone involved with the university, and commended the founder's efforts. Whereas Registrar Prof. Mohammad Haris Siddiqui proposed welcome address and gave a brief introduction of the university, Prof. Saba Siddiqui, Head, Dept of Agriculture, IIAST, hosted the event and Prof. Alvina Farooqui, Head, Dept of Bioengineering, delivered the vote of thanks.
As part of the celebration, an All-India Mushaira was also organised which brought together celebrated poets from across the country. Notable poets include Manzar Bhopali, Uday Pratap Singh, Iqbal Ashhar, Dr. Anjum Barabankwi, Dr. Hari Om (IAS), Aqeel Noomani, Azhar Iqbal, Atul Ajnabi, Azm Shakri, Saleem Siddiqui, Sikandar Hayat Gadbad, Adil Rashid, Shagufta Yasmeen, Yasir Inam, Ashraf Jahangir, Rukhsar Balrampuri, Amritanshu Sharma, Dr. Mehtab Alam and Himanshi Babra. During the program, students presented musical performances and also participated in a debate competition. Sahila, Rakshan, Babar and Guncha emerged as winners.
Established in 1993 as Integral Institute of Technology, and became a university by an act of UP state govt in 2004, Integral University has consistently set a standard for educational excellence and learning. The university is spread across 200 acres and has been accredited A+ by NAAC.
