The event was coordinated by Prof. Audhesh Kumar, Director of the MBA (F&A) programme, Department of Commerce


In his welcome address, Prof. Audhesh Kumar emphasized the importance of bridging academic learning with real-world industry insights. He highlighted how such initiatives are crucial for enriching the students' educational experience and enhancing their professional readiness.

During the lecture, the Vice Chancellor outlined a clear framework for success: "The journey towards any academic or professional goal begins with recognizing a problem, defining it clearly, and then seeking results through methodical and rigorous research." The Vice Chancellor stressed that success, whether in academia or the professional world, does not come from simply following established paths, but from the ability to identify challenges, understand them deeply, and apply creative and evidence-based solutions.

Prof. Rai explained that, in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing landscape, students and professionals alike must develop a keen ability to recognize the problems they face. “It is essential to ask the right questions,” Prof. Rai said. “Only by defining the problem correctly can we begin to find meaningful, lasting solutions.”

Prof. Rai concluded the lecture with a powerful call to action for students, staff, and faculty: "Whether you are advancing your academic studies or progressing in your professional career, take the time to understand the problems you’re facing, define them clearly, and engage in rigorous research to solve them. Only then can you achieve the success you aspire to."

The lecture, attended by students and faculty, was part of an ongoing series of events aimed at inspiring innovation, critical thinking, and academic excellence within the university community.
The Dean of Faculty of Commerce, Prof. Rachna Mujoo, also addressed the audience, acknowledging the importance of such specialized lectures in enriching the academic experience and providing students with the tools and knowledge to excel in the professional world. The Programme ended with the vote of thanks by Prof. Ram Milan, Co-Patron of the Programme and Head, Department of Commerce.
