Lucknow desk (R L Pandey).A book release and special lecture program was organized on Monday, November 18, 2024 under the Commerce Department of Lucknow University. The program was formally started with the lighting of lamps by the guests.

After this, three books written by senior professor of Commerce Department Somesh Kumar Shukla and other authors were released namely 1. Minimum Fair Price for Agriculture Produce :

A Path Breaking Reform in Agriculture Sector,

2. Intelligent Credit : Unleashing the Power of AI in Evaluating Credit Worthiness,

3. Neo Age of Banking


Professor Dinesh Sharma, MP Rajya Sabha and former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government was present as the chief guest of the book release and special lecture program. In his lecture, he suggested the participation of foreign students in cultural activities and making the Ministry of Education of the Government of India aware of these activities of the university and emphasized on the university teachers working on new research projects.

Professor S.K. Dwivedi, President of Indian Institute of Education Research, Lucknow was present as the special guest of the program. In his address, he emphasized on the combined concept of social utility, moral aspect and contribution to human development and expressed his thoughts on how moral development can take place. He stressed on awakening the sense of morality in human intelligence.

The program was presided over by Lucknow University Vice Chancellor Professor Alok Kumar Rai. In his address, he explained the concept of machine learning and artificial intelligence in the modern era with examples and said that the books released are very relevant.

The program was formally concluded with the Vote-of-thanks by Professor Ram Milan, Head, Department of Commerce. On this occasion Prof. Rachna Mujoo, Dean FOC, Prof. Archana Singh, Head, Department of Applied Economics including teachers and students of the Faculty of Commerce were present in this special program.
