Uttar Pradesh desk Lucknow (R L Pandey)The two-day Summer Plant Science Festival was concluded today at CSIR-NBRI with a valedictory ceremony. Dr. Prabodh Kumar Trivedi, Director, CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow was the Chief Guest of the valedictory ceremony and distributed to prizes to winners of various competition organized during the fest.


While welcoming the guests, Dr. Ajit Kumar Shasany, Director, CSIR-NBRI said that research scholars are the back bone of any research institute, whose research and development work contributes to the nation's progress. He motivated all the research scholars to keep doing innovative research work and find solution for the future challenges.

The programme report for Summer Plant Science Festival was presented by the research scholars of the institute. Different scientific competitions were organized in the fest including digital photography competition, oral presentations, poster presentations. More than 200 research scholars from the institute as well as from other CSIR labs participated in the fest.

Dr. Prabodh Trivedi, the Chief Guest of the function congratulated the institute for organizing the festival. He said that we should keep a learning attitude in our life. Be open for collaborations to develop more skills. Do your work with passion and enjoy it, don’t live in present, plan your goals for future, Dr. Trivedi reiterated. He also distributed the prizes to the winners of various competitions organized under Fest on the occasion. On the occasion, the institute also inked a MoU with Amity University, Lucknow for academic purpose.In the end Dr. SK Tewari, Chief Scientist proposed the vote of thanks.
