Border-Gavaskar Trophy: Pakistan was restricted to just 89 runs

Border-Gavaskar Trophy : The first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is going to be held in Perth, Australia, which is considered to be the world's fastest cricket track. Out of the 139 wickets taken by the bowlers on the pitch of Optus Stadium so far, 102 wickets have been taken by pacers while 37 wickets have come in the bag of spinners. From this, it can be guessed that the Kangaroos are ready to give a tough welcome to India.

The Indian team will enter the Perth Test starting on November 22 without playing any practice match because the visiting team has cancelled the match to be held between November 15 and 17 by forming two of its own teams. India will now prepare at the nearby WACA Stadium where the Australian team will also hone its skills.

This will be the fifth Test match to be held at the Optus Stadium with a capacity of about 60 thousand. Western Australia Cricket's chief curator Isaac McDonald is trying to prepare the same kind of pitch that he prepared for the first Test against Pakistan in December last year.

In that match, Pakistan's team was reduced to just 89 runs in the second innings and Australia registered a huge victory of 360 runs. As the match progressed, the pitch started breaking in that match and batsmen like Marnus Labuschagne were hit by the ball. Australia's three fast bowlers Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc took 12 out of 20 wickets of Pakistan.

Recently in the third ODI here, Pakistan's fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf bundled out Australia for 140 runs. However, a different pitch will be used here. McDonald said that he is thinking of leaving some grass on the pitch.
