CSIR-CDRI is celebrating 73rd Annual Day and 49th Sir Edward Mellanby Memorial Oration

Lucknow।  The CSIR Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) is set to mark its 73rd Annual Day Celebration commencing tomorrow, on February 17th 2024. On this momentous occasion the 49th Sir Edward Mellanby Memorial Oration in the memory of, CDRI's first Director would be delivered by Dr. Jyotsna Dhawan, Emeritus Scientist at CSIR - Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology, Hyderabad. 
Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, President of the Indian National Science Academy and former Secretary of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, and esteemed Chair Professor at IIT Kanpur, will deliver the Annual Day lecture. 
The program will further lead to tributes to the eminent directors Padmashri Dr Nityanand and Dr V. P. Kamboj, whose legacies continue to inspire generations of researchers. On this occasion, Dr. Radha Rangarajan, Director, CSIR-CDRI, will present the institute's Annual Day report, highlighting the strides made in drug discovery, diagnostics, and process technologies during the year.
Dr. Sanjay Batra, Chief Scientist and Convener and Dr. Smrati Bhadauria Co-Convener, of the Annual Day celebration, informed thst the event promises to be a confluence of intellectual exchange and collaborative spirit. Dr Batra further informed that some Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) would also be signed on this occasion.
