Lucknow desk (R L Pandey).On 27th September 2024, the PHYSOC, a society of the Department of Physics, University of Lucknow, coordinated by Prof. Leena Sinha and Dr. Jyotsna Singh, successfully conducted the Bhashan Pratiyogita on the theme of “Atmanirbhar Bharat”. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, who passionately shared their views and innovative ideas on how India can progress towards becoming a self-reliant nation.
Participants presented diverse perspectives. Some focused on the significance of a Child Development Plan as a crucial step for long-term national growth and self-sufficiency. Others highlighted the SEMICON initiative, praising India's potential in semiconductor manufacturing and its importance in reducing dependency on foreign technology. Few participants emphasized the importance of collective efforts, with a vision of making India the “Sone Ki Chiriya” (Golden Bird) once again through hard work and innovation.
The event was graced by Head of the Department Prof. N. K. Pandey, who shared his valuable thoughts on the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative and blessed the students, encouraging them to keep contributing to the nation's self-reliance journey.
The panel of judges, comprising Prof. S. P. Singh, Prof. Manoj Sharma, and Prof. Amritanshu Shukla, evaluated the presentations and ideas shared by the participants. They later announced the names of the winners, who were applauded for their outstanding contributions and insights. Overall, the Bhashan Pratiyogita successfully motivated the students to actively engage in nation-building and work towards making India a self-reliant powerhouse.
