Executive Council was granted approval by the Honourable Governor and Chancellor of the University
Lucknow desk (R L Pandey).Today the one year PG ordinance and Lateral entry guidelines proposed by University of Lucknow in the Academic Council held on July 31, 2024 and passed by the Executive Council was granted approval by the Honourable Governor and Chancellor of the University, Smt. Anandiben Patel. The salient features of the two ordinances are as follows: 
 

1.    One Year PG Ordinance
•    First in the country
•    20 credits per semester
•    More optionals

2.    Lateral entry
•    Students will be allowed entry to Sem 3, Sem 5 and Sem7 of UG and Sem 3 of PG programs
•    Students can be from LU affiliated/ Associated colleges 
•    Movement from College to College or College to University Campus permitted
•    Students from HEIs other than University of Lucknow with NAAC A+ and above grades allowed to seek admission
•    Students from HEIs other than University of Lucknow should have registered in an NEP 2020 compliant 4-year UG program to be able to seek admission
•    All students who seek lateral entry should have credits uploaded on Academic Bank of Credits
•    Credits of previous institution to be transferred
•    Students seeking admission to Sem 7 need to have CGPA 7.5 and above up to Sem 6
•    University admission cell to advertise vacant seats during admission process
•    Modalities to be decided by University Admission Cell.
The approval by the Honourable Governor paves way for effective implementation of the two ordinances.
