From the soil to the soul
The event began with a warm welcome by the school’s Principal, Meenakshi Bahadur. The Headmistress of Study Hall Junior, Bani Malhotra introduced the theme “From the Soil to the Soul”. She said, “Our children and teachers have put in immense effort to make this program a success. This is a celebration of harvest from festivals from around the world. The performances today reflect our children’s and teachers' creativity.”
The highlight of the evening included a vibrant dance on ‘Lohri di Raat,’ a dramatic play ‘Dharti Kahe Pukaar Ke,’ and an array of mesmerizing international and traditional dance forms, including Kathak, Bihu, Filipino, German, and Bonbibi. The school choir added to the charm with a medley of harvest songs that brought the theme to life.
“I loved performing with my friends! It was so much fun to dance and sing together. Seeing everyone clapping and smiling made all our practice worth it,” shared Kavyansh Jain, a student from Class 3, with excitement.

A special moment came from the children of DOSTI, a unit of the Study Hall Educational Foundation (SHEF) dedicated to integrating children with special needs into mainstream education. Their heartfelt dance performance earned applause and admiration from all.The event also saw active participation from parents. Mothers showcased their creativity by painting on canvas during the choir’s harvest songs, while others performed a graceful Kathak dance, adding a personal touch to the celebration.
The Vice Principal, Meenakshi Shah, gave the vote of thanks. The event concluded with a grand finale and the National Anthem, leaving the audience with cherished memories of an evening filled with joy and inspiration. Themed "From The Soil To The Soul: A New Awakening," the event transported the audience back to the innocence and joy of childhood. Students from Classes 1 to 5 delivered a delightful mix of music, dance, and drama that captivated all in attendance.
