University of Lucknow with its global vision , under of guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof Alok Kumar Rai, has seen a record interest of approximately 1800 foreign students this academic session , that is the highest surge till now. The University has received 1768 applications via Indian Council for Cultural Relations , and more than 50 application forms in the self-financed category.
The University received 1346 applications in academic session 2023-2024, and 814 applications in the academic year 2022-2023 . The application count was 637 in the academic session 2021-2022.
The applications have been received from approximately 76 countries across the globe, and the students have expressed their interests in the courses of almost every faculty .
Prof Alok Kumar Rai , the Vice Chancellor, states that “we have developed our mechanism to impart global education in the framework of our National Education Policy . During last 3-4 years we have transformed our educational ecosystem at par with global institutions, and that is being communicated across global takers .
“The University has made special arrangements for boys and girls in separate International hostels. Besides ensuring a comfortable stay, focus is on inducting them into an educational system that values a global perspective rooted in holistic development of learner.We have our strict mechanism of screening the applicants as per the Government norms for admitting foreign nationals, he added.
