After the success of the Saiyaaratitle track, Yash Raj Films and director Mohit Suri have unveiled the second song from the film — ‘Barbaad’, a soulful romantic number sung by Jubin Nautiyal, with music and lyrics by The Rish.

Ever since its teaser launch, Saiyaara has captured audience interest with its emotional depth, magnetic chemistry between debut actors, and the artistic union of YRF and Mohit Suri — two names known for timeless love stories in Indian cinema.

Why Jubin Nautiyal for 'Barbaad'?

Director Mohit Suri explains his decision to bring Jubin on board for Barbaad, calling him a natural choice for the film’s romantic soul.“Some voices define the sound of romance for an entire generation — and Jubin Nautiyal is definitely among them. When I heard the composition of Barbaad, I instantly knew it had to be sung by Jubin,” says Mohit.

He further adds,“Jubin’s voice has a unique ability to add depth and emotion to romantic tracks. That rare quality — to make listeners feel connected and nostalgic — is what makes singers like him stand out. It’s a gift.”

‘Barbaad’ – A Song That Evokes Love and Longing

Mohit believes Barbaad will resonate deeply with audiences who have experienced love — in all its intensity and imperfection.“Romantic songs carry an emotional memory, a personal history. 'Barbaad' is about love’s beauty and its pain — how it can fulfill and destroy at the same time,” he shares.

After the tremendous love received by the title track, the team is confident that Barbaad will strike a similar emotional chord.

What Does 'Saiyaara' Really Mean?

The film’s title Saiyaara has intrigued fans. While literally referring to a celestial object wandering in the cosmos, the word has been used in poetry to symbolize something — or someone — beautiful, mystical, and always out of reach. It paints the picture of a luminous being that guides but can never be fully held.

Star Cast and Release Date

Saiyaara marks the big-screen debut of Ahaan Panday, paired opposite Aneet Padda, who gained acclaim for her role in the web series Big Girls Don’t Cry. The film is produced by YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani and will hit theatres worldwide on July 18, 2025.

Legacy of Romance from YRF & Mohit Suri

Similarly, Mohit Suri, in his 20th year in the film industry, has built a reputation for heartfelt romantic dramas like Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, and Malang.
