Organised a five day Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp in collaboration with AICTE-Government of India
The bootcamp was centrally inaugurated on 23 September 2024, by Prof. T. G. Sitharam, Hon'ble Chairman, AICTE, in the presence of Dr. Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman, AICTE and Mr. Meetul B. Patel from the Wadhwani Foundation. It symbolized the official start of the bootcamp’s activities in nine selected institutions across the country, Integral University being one of them. Prof. Sitharam delivered an enthusiastic inaugural address, stating that the IDE Bootcamp is not just a program but a commitment to foster the ecosystem of innovation, design thinking, and entrepreneurship. Integral University is among the nine institutions across the country to host the IDE Bootcamp.
During the local inaugural session, Pro-Chancellor and President of the session Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar delved into the concept of design thinking and its impact on entrepreneurial success. He emphasized the customer discovery model and how startups can innovate by understanding customer needs. Chief Guest, Dr. V. K. Srivastava -Director, Council of Science and Technology, Govt of Uttar Pradesh, expressed his gratitude to the organizing team and appreciated the crucial role of the Integral Startups Foundation in fostering startups and driving innovation.
While talking about the bootcamp, Special Guest, Mr. Gopal Sharma, Nodal Centre Head, Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), Govt of India, focused on the significance of the IDE bootcamp. He emphasized the government's role in supporting entrepreneurial initiatives and the importance of innovation in driving the nation's cultural and economic development. Special Guest Mr. Madan Mohan Sharan Singh, Indovation Manager, AICTE, Ministry of Education, Govt of India, urged the audience to take risks and learn from their failures.
In his address, Prof. Alok Dhawan, Director, Centre of BioMedical Research (CBMR), Govt of Uttar Pradesh, and the Guest of Honour of the session, explained the core principles of a bootcamp, focusing on its role in building risk-taking abilities, organized lifestyles, and ethics in entrepreneurs. Whereas Registrar, Prof. Mohammad Haris Siddiqui, highlighted Integral University's glorious history and also praised the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation and its role in nurturing future entrepreneurs, Dr. Nida Fatima, Executive Director, Integral Startups Foundation-the Incubation Centre of Integral University, welcomed the guests and participants.
The session also included the exhibition of the 20+startups, setting the tone for the exciting entrepreneurial journey ahead. The session witnessed 490 participants representing institutions from across the country, and 33 mentors and officials from AICTE and Ministry of Education, Government of India. It will be held over a span of five days, from September 23-27, 2024, and has been designed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with essential skills and knowledge in the areas of design thinking, business model development, financial literacy and much more
