AAGAZ is organized to welcome new students and bid farewell to the final year students

Uttar Pradesh desk Lucknow ( R L Pandey ). B.R. AMBEDKAR girls hostel situated in New campus, University of Lucknow, on 23/04/2024 concluded the  three-day freshers and farewell program, AAGAZ. Every year, AAGAZ is organized to welcome new students and bid farewell to the final year students. All the students participated enthusiastically in this program and displayed very talented arts.

In this three-day long program, all types of competitions were organized which included cultural, literary and sports related competitions. Gracing the program, Lucknow University DSW Prof. Sangeeta Sahu, Chief Provost Prof. Anup Kumar Singh, Director New Campus Dr. R.K . Singh sir added charm to the evening of the program with their benign presence.
Keeping in mind the theme of this year's Aaagaz "Strong is Beautiful Whether Mental and Physical", all the students displayed their exemplary skills.
In the fashion show, the most entertaining competition of the programme, the students won the hearts of the judges by displaying costumes from different states of the country.
Urmika Pandey who secured  1st position performed lungi dance in South Indian attire while Iqra Saleen and Priya who also bagged the first position displayed their Kashmiri and Bengali attire. Divya, mohini and Anjali were at the second spot followed by Sonalika, Radhika, Arohi and others at the third position
The girl students demonstrated the unity in diversity of India through all types of Indian costumes like Bengali, Punjabi, Rajasthani, Bihari. The story of India's unity amidst diversity is noteworthy because it gives a clear message that the country is independent of any culture or community. The intermingling of different cultures in all the flattering attire was worth remembering.
This time the theme of women empowerment was selected in the poster making competition. The objective of the event was to commemorate the spirit of women empowerment and raise awareness about important issues related to gender equality. The students participated enthusiastically in the competition, showcasing their creativity and sensitivity through thought-provoking posters.
Many other programs like Mehndi Competition, Nail Art Competition, Dumb Charades, Rangoli Competition, Face Painting, Antakshari, Musical Chair etc were held in which all the enthusiastic inmates participated in large numbers. In the poetry competition,Mohini Tiwari bagged 1st position followed by Aparna Dubey and Anjali Dubey at the second and third spots respectively.

At the end of the program, Miss Freshers and Miss Farewell were selected from among all the participating students. Along with this, many more titles were distributed. The chief guest honored the winning students with medals and other awards. 
The evening concluded with a beautiful fusion  of teachers and students dancing together enjoying the colorful night. The special dinner for the day was served to the respected chief guests and the event ended on a heartwarming note.
