15 Schools from 4 Cities Participate in Study Hall’s Democratic Citizenship Festival
Lucknow desk (R L Pandey).Study Hall School, Gomti Nagar, successfully inaugurated Day 1 of its third Democratic Citizenship Festival — a one-of-its-kind inter-school event that brings democratic values into the heart of education. With over 180 students from 15 schools, including leading institutions from

Lucknow, Varanasi, Bareilly, and Gurgaon, the festival created a vibrant space for dialogue, creativity, and civic learning.
Participating city schools included MR Jaipuria, AR Jaipuria, Arvind Academy, GD Goenka, Maharaja Agrasen School, Scholar Home, Modern Academy, Prerna Boys, Prerna Girls, and Vidyasthali. Outstation participation came from Sunbeam Varuna and Sunbeam Lahartara (Varanasi), Chickar International School (Bareilly), and Vidya School (Gurgaon), adding a rich diversity of perspectives to the festival. Anchored in the values of the National Education Policy (NEP), the festival integrated academic subjects with the spirit of democracy through innovative competitions designed to inspire dialogue, creativity, and critical thinking.

The day began with an enthusiastic Opening Ceremony, setting the tone for a day rooted in the values of justice, equality, and participation. Talk-a-thon: A dynamic, mixed-group discussion on the theme “The Role of Democracy in Promoting Global Citizenship.” Unlike traditional debates, the Talk-a-thon encouraged collaboration, active listening, and critical engagement, allowing students to think beyond borders. Pulse of Pi: A unique mathematics event where students explored the intersection of math and constitutional rights. 
Principal Meenakshi Bahadur shared, “This festival is not just an event. It’s a platform where young minds experience democracy in its truest form — by questioning, collaborating, and creating.”
