AEBAS Workshop Conducted by PCI, New Delhi at Faculty of Pharmacy, Integral University, Lucknow

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy, Integral University, Lucknow, successfully organized a one-day workshop on the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) on January 07, 2026. The workshop was aimed at creating awareness and providing technical insights into the implementation and operational aspects of AEBAS in pharmacy institutions.

 

 

 

The workshop witnessed the participation of Deans, Directors, and Principals from 60 pharmacy institutions across Uttar Pradesh, reflecting the wide interest and importance of digital governance initiatives in pharmaceutical education.

 

The program was coordinated by eminent representatives of the Pharmacy Council of India, including Mr. Jashubhai Hirabhai Chaudhari, Vice President, PCI; Dr. P. Sathiamurthi, IT-Chairman, PCI; and Prof. Akash Ved, Member, Central Council, PCI. Through their expert presentations, they emphasized the role of digital attendance systems in promoting transparency, accountability, and efficiency in academic institutions.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Jashubhai Hirabhai Chaudhari highlighted the significance of AEBAS in ensuring outcome-based education and its contribution towards producing skill-enabled and market-ready graduates.
The workshop was further graced by the presence of distinguished dignitaries from the State Pharmacy Council, including Mr. Sandeep Badola, Chairman; Dr. Pramod Tripathi, Registrar; and Mr. Ramesh Chandra, OSD. Their participation underscored strong regulatory and institutional support for the adoption of digital systems in education governance.
The event was organized under the able guidance of Prof. Syed Misbahul Hasan, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy. On-ground coordination and institutional support were provided by Prof. Juber Akhtar, Head, Department of Pharmacy, along with Prof. Tarique Mahmood, Dr. Arun Kumar, Prof. Kuldeep Singh, and other faculty members, in close collaboration with the technical team of PCI.
The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion session, during which participants gained practical knowledge on AEBAS implementation procedures and compliance requirements. The event proved to be highly informative and beneficial for faculty members and academic administrators, reaffirming the Pharmacy Council of India’s commitment to embracing advanced digital systems in higher education.
