Airtel Offers Free International Roaming on All Postpaid Plans
Lucknow, October 7, 2026: Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”), one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers, has announced the launch of new postpaid plans with enhanced benefits. Starting October 8, 2026, customers will be able to enjoy one international trip with free roaming every year, along with the existing benefits available with Airtel Postpaid.
The complimentary international roaming benefit includes 5GB of data, 60 minutes of outgoing calls, 25 outgoing SMS and free incoming SMS, with a validity of five days.
Customers will have the flexibility to activate the five-day roaming pack at a time of their choice, making it easier to stay connected while travelling abroad. For customers subscribed to Airtel Postpaid Family Plans, the free international roaming benefit will be available to every family member included in the plan.
Unlimited Data, Fast Lane Technology and Security
Free international roaming is the latest addition to Airtel’s postpaid offering, which also includes a range of connectivity, security and entertainment benefits.
Airtel Postpaid customers get access to Fast Lane technology on 5G, unlimited data and network-level protection against spam and fraudulent links. Customers can also enjoy a range of entertainment subscriptions and exclusive experiences through the Airtel Postpaid Advantage Club, including comedy shows, movie premieres and concerts.
Airtel Focuses on Premium Postpaid Experience
Commenting on the launch, Amit Tripathi, Director – Market Operations, Bharti Airtel, said that Airtel Postpaid is focused on delivering a premium experience to customers in India.
He said the company is combining its network capabilities with 5G Fast Lane technology, continuous protection against spam and fraud, entertainment services and other lifestyle benefits. With the addition of free international roaming, Airtel aims to provide customers with greater value and more reasons to choose its postpaid services.
How Can Customers Get the New Plans?
The new postpaid plans will be available from October 8, 2026, to customers opting for Airtel Postpaid.
Existing Airtel customers, whether they are currently using an older postpaid plan or a prepaid connection, can upgrade through the Airtel App or by visiting their nearest Airtel Store.
Customers who are not currently using Airtel services can switch to Airtel Postpaid by submitting a switching request through the Airtel App or by visiting an Airtel Store.
With free international roaming added to its postpaid portfolio, Airtel is positioning its new plans as an option for customers looking for connectivity, entertainment, security and additional travel benefits in a single package.
