Uttar Pradesh desk (R L Pandey)In a commendable achievement,Akrati sant , a research scholar in the Department of Chemistry, University of Lucknow who is working under the supervision of Prof. Sonkia Bhatia of IT PG College has recently secured a fully funded internship position in the College of Biomedical Engineering at the Taipei Medical University, Taiwan. The six-month internship, scheduled from May 1 to Oct 31, 2024, is made possible through the prestigious Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) by government of Taiwan
Miss Sant, a dedicated scholar, will be working in the laboratory of Dr. Anup Pandith, delving into research that aims to drug discovery and development and Phototheranostics in treatment of cancer and tumors. Additionally, Miss. Sant will be involved in the synthesized novel materials will undergo biological screening process for the treatment of breast cancer and osteoporosis.
This internship marks a significant contribution to Miss Sant's pursuit of advancing synthesis novel materials for various malignancies, aligning with global efforts to address severe illness like cancer and osteoporosis.
Akrati Sant has been actively engaged in cutting-edge research in the field of Drug discovery and Development as part of his Ph.D. program since December 2020, working closely with Dr. Bhatia. Her academic journey includes completing her master's degree at the M.J.P Rohilkhand University.
