ANNUAL SPORTS DAY 2024 – ‘KAIVALYAM’ AT ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL SP MARG, LUCKNOW
The Meet was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Guest Col (Retd) M A Siddiqui, Director AWES CC. It was a pleasure to have other eminent dignitaries, Principals of prominent schools and the parents on the joyous occasion. The Chief Guest took the salute during the March Past presented by the Students’ Council, NCC cadets, and the students of the four houses. The students marched in a spectacular, magnificent, and disciplined manner, leaving the audience spellbound.
The main attraction was the mascot SHOORA (Tiger Cub) who was presented during the lighting of the flame.The programme commenced with a devotional rendition, ‘Ganesh Vandana’ using Lazium to invoke the blessings of the Almighty. The day featured numerous track events, including the Hurdle Race, Rapid Race, Hula Hoop Race, the Grandparents’ Race, and so on, catering to all age groups.
Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and encouragement for the young athletes and students presented variety of programmes ranging from Mass PT- Spectrum to Yoga and Zumba. The melange of scintillating performances earned thunderous applause and immense appreciation from the audience. Gymnastics which included formation of pyramid left the spectators in awe. The fire ring drill filled the air with excitement and enthusiasm and left the audience spell bound. Prize distribution ceremony included the trophy for the Best House, March Past Shield for the Best House in Sports and Cock House respectively.
School’s feat of achieving I position in Class – X Board result among Large Category APSs was celebrated by presenting the award of Cash Prize of Rs 75000/- trophy to the school and Token of appreciation to the teachers of Class X. All the above awards were conferred by the respected Chief Guest. He complimented the students and staff for organizing a stupendous show full of energy and enthusiasm. The Vice Principal, Mrs. Archana Srivastava, extended a heartfelt Vote of Thanks to the guests for their presence and words of encouragement. The fun-filled day concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem, bringing the event to a patriotic and joyful close.
