Candidates Celebrate Appointment Letters, Say Clerical Cadre Recruitment Was Fair and Merit-Based
Lucknow, September : The faces of candidates selected through the Clerical Cadre Direct Recruitment-2023 conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board lit up after they received their appointment letters from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Several selected candidates said their long-cherished dream of securing a government job had been fulfilled through their hard work and merit.
The candidates described the recruitment process as fair and transparent, saying that the various stages, including the written examination, typing test and medical examination, were conducted without the need for recommendations.
Sanjeev Verma, a resident of Lucknow, was selected for the post of Sub-Inspector (Confidential). He said the examination was held on November 2, 2025, while the result was declared in March 2026. According to Verma, the appointment process remained fair and transparent throughout. He said that candidates who worked hard were able to achieve success and expressed pride in receiving his appointment letter from the Chief Minister.
Rajat Gupta of Lakhimpur Kheri, who was also selected as Sub-Inspector (Confidential), said this was his second selection in the Uttar Pradesh Police. He had earlier been selected as a constable in 2020. Gupta said transparency was maintained throughout the written examination, typing test and medical examination.
Anju Bharti, selected as Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerk), said her selection was made without bias, monetary transactions or recommendations. She said that apart from the application fee, she did not have to incur any additional expenditure for the recruitment process. Bharti said the selection gave her confidence that candidates can secure government employment on the basis of merit.
Adarsh Kumar Jain, selected for the post of Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerk), also described the recruitment process as fair and transparent and expressed gratitude after receiving his appointment letter.
Darshana Bajpai, selected as Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Accounts), said she did not require any recommendation or monetary transaction at any stage of the recruitment process. She said her appointment was based on merit. Bajpai added that the achievement was especially significant for her and her family after three years of preparation. She said receiving the appointment letter from the Chief Minister was an experience she had never imagined.
Dhirendra Singh, selected as Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Accounts), said that candidates who remained committed to their preparation were able to achieve success. He said he had been preparing for the examination for nearly five years and described the day of receiving his appointment letter as a memorable and joyful occasion.
Siddharth Srivastava, selected as Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerk), said he had been preparing continuously since 2021. He described the recruitment process as fair and transparent and said receiving the appointment letter marked a rewarding moment after years of preparation.
The experiences shared by the selected candidates reflected their satisfaction with the recruitment process and their sense of achievement after years of preparation.
