Centre of excellence for Fundamental and Translational Research in Ayurveda would be inaugurated tomorrow at CSIR-CDRI, Lucknow
 
Lucknow desk ( R L Pandey ).On the event of 9th Ayurveda Day on October 29, 2024, the Honourable Prime Minister of India will digitally inaugurate six prestigious AYUSH Centers of Excellence, advancing India’s commitment to traditional medicine. Among these Centre of Excellence, CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CSIR-CDRI) Lucknow also stands as a fusion of scientific rigor and ancient tradition.

The inauguration will witness the unveiling of the CDRI plaque by the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Brajesh Pathak, that will be symbolizing the state’s pivotal role in advancing Ayurveda research tomorrow at 11:30 Am onwards.

The CDRI Centre of Excellence will undertake inventive studies to evaluate selected herbal extracts and phyto-constituents, aiming to scientifically validate their effects on immune function, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory activities. This research is designed to offer robust, evidence-based backing for Ayurvedic medicines, potentially leading to their approval by regulatory bodies like CDSCO and the US FDA.
