Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh | 27 February 2026:
Reaffirming its commitment to building a culture where women and girls live on equal terms and pursue their aspirations freely, Breakthrough is organizing a state-level event titled “De Taali: Sapno Se Safalta Tak.”

This full-day gathering will bring together over 55,000 young people, parents, community influencers, government officials, content creators, and key stakeholders. The collective aim is to challenge regressive cultural practices and spotlight women’s economic empowerment as central to the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

Celebrating Youth-Led Change

“De Taali: Sapno Se Safalta Tak” seeks to build a shared understanding of the cultural barriers that affect young women and girls, while celebrating youth-led initiatives that are shaping a more equal society. The event will showcase inspiring stories of young women who are redefining career aspirations with the support of their families and communities.

A major highlight of the event will be the launch of the De Taali Song — a powerful anthem celebrating young women’s aspirations, financial independence, and leadership. The song gains special significance with acclaimed singer Sunidhi Chauhan lending her voice pro bono, reinforcing the importance of influential voices uniting for women’s economic empowerment.

The program will also feature Guftagu, an interactive conversation between content creators Aman Pandey, Anushka Jain, and Gyanendra Pratap Singh, along with young participants. The discussion will explore the role of digital platforms in shaping perspectives, influencing mindsets, and driving social change in today’s generation.

How Women’s Economic Empowerment Defines the New India Story

Deep-rooted cultural norms continue to restrict girls’ education, mobility, digital access, and decision-making power. Addressing these challenges requires sustained engagement with adolescents and the ecosystems that shape their lives.

India stands at a pivotal stage in its development journey. Closing gender gaps in education, digital inclusion, and workforce participation is among the fastest ways to accelerate economic growth. When women earn and lead, families become stronger, communities prosper, and economies grow more inclusive — strengthening the foundation of a resilient New India.

Accelerating women’s economic participation is not just about equality; it is essential for building a truly inclusive and Viksit Bharat.

Breakthrough’s Ongoing Impact in Uttar Pradesh

Breakthrough is currently working with 55,000 adolescents and youth across four districts in Uttar Pradesh — Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, and Maharajganj. Through sustained community engagement, media outreach, and digital interventions, the organization promotes gender-equitable attitudes and behaviors.

By working in schools and communities, building negotiation and leadership skills among youth, and fostering inter-generational dialogue, Breakthrough aims to shift gender norms at scale.

With over 100,000 followers on YouTube, the De Taali digital initiative engages young audiences by leveraging popular culture and digital trends to challenge regressive norms and promote women’s economic empowerment.
