Lucknow desk (R L Pandey).Much-anticipated Hemophilia Conclave was conducted today, which brought together medical professionals from the state, patients, and policymakers to raise awareness and discuss the future of hemophilia care. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister of Uttar Pradesh and other eminent person from the state, Shri Pathak delivered a keynote address on the pressing need for improved hemophilia management in the state.


In his speech, Shri Brajesh Pathak emphasized the importance of identifying hemophilia patients in state, highlighting the challenges faced by families due to the high cost of treatment. He expressed deep concern over the financial burden hemophilia places on affected families, noting that access to timely and effective treatment is essential for improving the quality of life for patients."The burden of hemophilia is not just medical but financial as well," said Shri Pathak. "Treatment for hemophilia is expensive, and it often places immense strain on families. It is imperative for government hospitals to actively identify and support hemophilia patients to ensure they receive the care they need."


Shri Pathak also praised the Government of Uttar Pradesh for providing world-class hemophilia medicines to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible treatment. He thanked the government for its commitment to delivering these life-saving medicines free of charge in public healthcare facilities, significantly reducing the financial strain on families.


He further emphasised that the proceedings of this conclave have to be given to him and he assured that the government will be working on it. "We are fortunate that the Government of Uttar Pradesh is at the forefront of delivering global-standard hemophilia medicines to those in need. This effort is a testament to the government's dedication to improving healthcare access for every citizen," Shri Pathak added.
The Hemophilia Conclave provided an invaluable platform for stakeholders to discuss the ongoing challenges and advancements in hemophilia care. The event featured expert panel discussions on hemophilia treatment options, patient advocacy, and the role of government support in ensuring accessible and affordable care.
