Expert Insight on Prevention
Chief Guest Dr. A.K. Singh, former CMS and Head of Neurology at DrRMLIMS, addressed the gathering. He emphasized the vital role of preventive care and early rehabilitation, sharing practical advice like managing blood pressure and blood sugar levels, using helmets and seat belts, and adopting healthier lifestyle habits. According to him, such measures can significantly reduce disability risks and improve long-term patient outcomes.
Departmental Milestone
Prof. V.S. Gogia, Head of the PMR Department, shared an important update — the department has now been allocated its own Operation Theatre (OT). This development, supported by Director Prof. C.M. Singh, will enable the PMR team to perform specialized surgeries directly within the department. This is expected to greatly benefit patients with conditions like post-polio residual paralysis, cerebral palsy, and clubfoot, by making corrective surgeries more accessible and streamlined.
Collaborative Effort
The event was organized under the dynamic leadership of Prof. V.S. Gogia and coordinated by Dr. Yesh Veer Singh, Associate Professor, PMR, with enthusiastic support from senior and junior residents, staff, patients, and their families. The celebration reinforced the department’s dedication to early diagnosis, patient-focused care, and disability prevention.
