Lucknow Desk (R.L. Pandey): This year, Dhanteras (Dhantrayodashi) will be celebrated on October 29, marking the beginning of the five-day Festival of Lights. Following Dhanteras, Hanuman Jayanti and Yama Chaturdashi will be observed on October 30, Diwali on October 31 (bathing charity Amavasya on November 1), Govardhan Puja and Annakut on November 2, and Bhai Dooj and Chitragupta Jayanti on November 3, bringing the festivities to a close.

Acharya Ramu Lal Pandey of Jyotishaayan, located in Viram Khand-5, Gomti Nagar, shared that on this day, auspicious alignments such as Tripushkar Yoga, Indra Yoga, Vaidhriti Yoga, Uttara Phalguni, and Hasta Nakshatra will bring prosperity and happiness. Pandit Deepak Malviya further explained that the Trayodashi Tithi will begin at 11:00 AM on October 29 and end at 1:05 PM on October 30, providing two days for shopping opportunities.

The auspicious time for Dhanteras puja will be during the twilight period, from 6:31 PM to 8:31 PM on October 29. Additionally, Tripushkar Yoga will be in effect from 6:32 AM on October 29 until 10:30 AM on October 30, while the Abhijit Muhurat for shopping will be from 11:42 AM to 12:27 PM on October 29. On Dhanteras, devotees worship Lord Dhanvantari, along with Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kuber for wealth and prosperity.
