Lucknow Desk (R. L. Pandey):
Goel Group of Institutions celebrated its 18th Foundation Day on July 4, 2025, with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of social responsibility. The occasion was commemorated with a large-scale tree plantation drive, symbolizing the institute's enduring commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement. Around 500 saplings were planted across the campus with the active participation of faculty and staff, reinforcing the institution’s pledge toward building a greener, healthier future.
In alignment with its commitment to public health and social welfare, the institute also hosted a special initiative to support India’s mission to eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) by 2025. Under the 'Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan' and in collaboration with the District Health Department, the institution organized the distribution of ‘Poshan Potli’ — specially curated nutritional kits — to 50 TB patients. This effort, carried out under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), aims to enhance the recovery of TB patients by providing them with protein-rich dietary support, thereby contributing to the broader goal of a TB-free India.
The commemorative event took place in the Central Hall of Goel Group of Institutions and witnessed the presence of several distinguished guests. Shri Ashok Agarwal, Member of Legislative Council (MLC) from Sandila, Uttar Pradesh, and Shri Vishal Vikram Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police (STF), graced the occasion alongside Chairman Er. Mahesh Kumar Agarwal, Vice Chairman Shri Murari Lal Agarwal, and CEO Shri Samarth Goel.
The program also saw participation from all Directors and Heads of Departments of GGI. Key figures from the District Health Department, including Dr. A.K. Singhal (District TB Officer), Shri Shahnawaz (Senior Treatment Supervisor), and Shri Saumitra Mishra (District PPM Coordinator), were also present to support the cause.
This dual celebration of nature and public health underscores Goel Group of Institutions' integrated vision of academic excellence, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility.
