Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024 concludes at Integral University
Hon'ble Vice Chancellor and President of the session, Prof. Javed Musarrat, congratulated the participants and said that their dedication, commitment and significant contribution will surely help our country progress and become global leader in innovations. Chief Guest, Dr. Jitendra Kumar Tomar, Director, Department of Agriculture, Government of Uttar Pradesh, focussed on the growing digital culture in India and continuous strides in digital innovation with young minds leading the charge in creating solutions that tackle real-world problems.
Distinguished guest Mr. . Madan Mohan Sharan Singh, Indovation Manager at the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, pointed out that this event is an example of how youths are pushing the boundaries of problem-solving and entrepreneurial thinking and shaping a future where India leads in both technology and entrepreneurship. Other distinguished guests including Mr. R. K. Singh, Additional Director, Department of Agriculture, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. B. M. Tiwari, Assistant Director, National Education Alliance for Technology (NEAT), AICTE, Mr. Guruprasad Datar, Nodal Centre Head and Director of Financial Services at Deloitte, also graced the occasion and congratulated the participants.
Prof. Mohammad Haris Siddiqui, Registrar of Integral University, delivered welcome address and highlighted the university’s the university’s strong ecosystem that fosters innovation and creativity. Dr. Nida Fatima, Executive Director of Integral Startups Foundation, presented a comprehensive report of the two-day event, outlining the diverse range of innovative solutions developed by the participants, collaborative spirit that defined the event, and mentors and evaluators’ insights shared during the event. Dr. Halima Sadia, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Sciences & Engineering, conducted the event.
Team Coderunner_1 with PS ID: 1782, Team Tech Simp 2 with PS ID: 1775 and Team GG INC with PS ID: 1673 emerged as winners. While the team Coderunner_1 from NIT, Bhopal included Debanjan Rakshit, Arnav Surana, Parth Arora, Saksham Chopra, Hozefa Travadi and Dhanvi Shah, team Tech Simp 2 from G. H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Maharashtra, included Satyam Yadav, Puru Singh, Rishabh Kukdeja, Pratiksha Pandey, Jyoti Pandey and Dhruv Pal, and team GG INC from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, included Mohammed Zubair, Parag Goyal, Katyayani Jha, Rachancheet Singh Kohli, Asmi Srivastava and Raj Chaudhary. The winners were awarded cheques, trophies and certificates.
The Hackathon kicked off on December 11, 2024, with nearly 120 participants from across India, all working diligently to address the challenges presented by different ministries and organizations. Integral University and the Integral Startups Foundation are honored to host this significant national event, reaffirming their commitment to fostering innovation and supporting India’s vision of a tech-empowered future.
