He said that Happiness is a complex and subjective emotional state that can vary significantly from person to person. At its core, it often involves feelings of joy, contentment, and well-being. Understanding happiness involves looking at various factors that influence it, including psychological, biological, social, and philosophical perspectives. Dr. Pandey was welcomed to the department by Prof. Abha Bishnoi who presented him a memento. by He was introduced to the audience by Dr. Manisha Shukla.

Dr. Pandey spoke on the topic “Understanding Happiness”. Today's session began with recognizing basic human aspirations that is continuous happiness. If we look in light of right understanding, continuous happiness is the purpose of human’s life and every instant of human activity is dedicated to the achieve this this aim. Due to a lack of understanding, humans regard their purpose as "becoming" something and "attaining" something. When we look at it through the lens of understanding, we discover that "doing," "becoming," and "attaining" are just steps on the route to achieving the human objective. The more we are able to acquire insight in ourselves, the more clearly it appears that continuous happiness is the objective of humanity and we are able to make efforts.

During this session, participants tried to explore the meaning of happiness that is: "To be in the state of harmony is Happiness". The better we understand ourselves, the more self-organised we become, which leads to happiness. "Being happy by doing something, becoming something, and achieving something" or "understanding happiness, doing it happily, becoming it, and attaining it" will be the foundation of my life? The session concluded with the decision to investigate this question. Dr. Om Prakash proposed a vote of thanks. The program was attended by all faculty members and Research Scholars of the department.
