Integral University’s International Conference on Science and Engineering Innovations Successfully Concludes with Key Industry-Academia Collaborations
22 February 2025, Lucknow: Integral University’s Department of Bioengineering, Faculty of Engineering & IT and Integral Startup Foundation, in association with AFSTI, Lucknow Chapter and Indian National Young Academy of Sciences, New Delhi, hosted the First Industry Academia Meet and the International Conference on “Trends and Innovations in Science and Engineering: Bridging the Industry-Academia Interface”. 
The conference was organized in collaboration with several national and international esteemed Universities and academic institutions.  Many government organizations played a pivotal role in the conference, contributing their expertise and resources to the discussions, including the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), DBT-BIRAC, DST-SERB, DST-IUSSTF, UP-CST, ICAR-CISH, CSIR-NBRI, CIMAP, CDRI, IITR, CFTRI, Regional Food Research and Analysis Center (RFRAC), StartinUP and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). 


The three-day international conference (20-22 Feb, 2025) TISE CON 2025 concluded with a valedictory program. During the closing ceremony, Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor and Chief Patron, delivered an inspiring address on bridging academia and industry. Prof. Alvina Farooqui, Head of Bioengineering and Organizing Chair, delivered the Vote of Thanks. She mentioned that TISE CON-2025 was more than just a gathering for scientific discussions—it was a testament to an unwavering passion for advancing a grand vision of our esteemed Chancellor and Founder, Prof. Syed Wasim Akhtar, the visionary architect of this prestigious institution. His dedication and sacrifices in his youth were driven by a relentless pursuit to spread awareness about technical education, nurturing and skilling students from school to graduation. 


During the conference, experts discussed critical issues shaping the future of India’s research, technology, and education. A key highlight was the focus on building a skilled workforce for a "Viksit Bharat@2047," emphasizing the need for robust education and training to ensure a sustainable tomorrow. The event also spotlighted the importance of collaboration between academia and industry, particularly in transforming life sciences start-ups and commercializing academic research from lab to market. Discussions also explored the impact of AI and automation on science and engineering careers, role of sustainable technologies in small-scale agri-produce processing. green and blue biotechnology, epigenetic signatures for immunotherapy, therapeutic effects of mushrooms, value of innovation in food science and strategic integration of golden biotechnology. In addition, the conference underscored the ways to unlock fellowships and drive India's research landscape forward, highlighting the importance of leveraging intellectual property (IPR) to fuel growth and transform research into revenue.

Prof. Mohd Haris Siddiqui, Registrar, Integral University, and Co-Patron of TISE CON 2025, extended his gratitude to all participants, speakers, and organizing members. Prof. Salman Akhtar, Convener of TISE CON 2025, then presented the Conference Report, highlighting key takeaways and valuable contributions made by researchers. Prof. Abdul Azeez, Dean Engineering, Integral University, and Co-Patron TISE CON 2025 gave his valuable insights about the conference. Prof. Wahajul Haq, Dean R&D, Integral University, shared insights on the conference’s impact on research and development, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration. The session was graced by Prof. Mohammad Jawaid, a Distinguished Guest from UAE, who shared perspectives on emerging trends in science and engineering. Dr. Nida Fatima, Executive Director of Integral Startups Foundation, commended the organizing team and acknowledged the knowledge exchange facilitated by the event. Prof. Furqan Qamar, Advisor to the Hon’ble Chancellor, emphasized fostering innovation and research. The Conference witnessed several events and competitions for boosting student’s knowledge, enthusiasm and judging their intellectuals.
