Lucknow, December 18, 2025: Integral University, Lucknow, has achieved a significant national milestone by being conferred with the Women in STEM Excellence Award 2025. Presented by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the award recognizes the university's outstanding contributions to promoting female participation, leadership, and breakthrough innovation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Recognition of Gender Equity and Innovation

The accolade highlights the university’s dedicated efforts to foster an inclusive environment that supports women-led research and academic excellence. This vision has been driven by the university’s founder and Chancellor, Prof. Syed Wasim Akhtar, whose patronage has created an ecosystem where women scientists and innovators can thrive.

Integral University was selected following a rigorous evaluation process, emerging as one of the top 10 institutions in India for its gender-equitable policies and impactful research initiatives.

The prestigious award was presented by a panel of distinguished dignitaries, including:

  • Dr. Ashish Mohan: Executive Director, CII.

  • Ms. Vaishali Nigam Sinha: Chair of CII Women in STEM Initiative, Co-Founder of ReNew, and Sustainability Chairperson.

  • Dr. (Smt.) Chandrika Kaushik: Distinguished Scientist and Director General (PC & SI), DRDO, Government of India.

The event was further graced by the presence of Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon'ble Minister of Science and Technology, and Ms. Inge Buffalo, Director at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
