Integral University Hosted XVI Annual Convocation, Recognizes
17 February 2025, Lucknow: Integral University proudly celebrated its XVI Annual Convocation, to honor the academic brilliance, leadership, and innovation. The event was a testament to the university's commitment to fostering academic excellence and nurturing the next generation of leaders and innovators. Convocation ceremony was graced by Shri Kunwar Manvendra Singh Ji, Hon’ble Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, as the Chief Guest.
During his address, he congratulated the degree recipients and took the opportunity to appreciate Integral University for its significant contribution to the educational development, highlighting the institution’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering an environment of innovation and excellence. He emphasized that youth which represents a significant portion of the nation’s population, should actively contribute to the goal of making India a Viksit Rashtra, underscoring the idea that their collective efforts, knowledge, and skills would be the driving force behind the country's growth and prosperity.
Hon’ble Chancellor and Founder, Prof Syed Waseem Akhtar, extended best wishes to the degree recipients, acknowledging their hard-earned success and the bright paths that lay ahead for them. He urged the students to remain steadfast in the pursuit of their goals, underlining the significance of perseverance and dedication, and reminded them that success is not an overnight achievement but a result of continuous effort and a never-give-up attitude.
Highlighting the trajectory of India’s GDP, distinguished guest, Dr. Arun Maira, a highly respected thought leader, former Member of the Planning Commission of India, and former Chancellor of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, noted how the country has emerged as one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. He elaborated the critical factors that could further amplify this growth and stressed the importance of policymakers prioritizing income generation and job creation. Dr. Maira also touched upon the role of listening, empathy and understanding in building a democratic and harmonious society, fostering a culture of broader well-being, mutual respect and compassion.
Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor, applauded the students for their achievements and encouraged them to develop the spirit of inquiry, compassion, innovation and leadership, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking in shaping their future and encouraged them to cultivate empathy and creativity in their pursuits. While welcoming the guests, Prof. Javed Musarrat, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, presented the annual report of the university, focussing on the institution's achievements, progress, and key initiatives over the past year. The report covered significant academic advancements, infrastructural developments, ranks and accreditations, research accomplishments, and student success stories, offering a comprehensive overview of the university's growth and contributions to the academic community.
Registrar, Prof. Mohammad Haris Siddiqui, delivered the vote of thanks whereas Prof. Abdul Rahman Khan, Controller of Examinations, announced the names of the university's top performers, along with the recipients of gold and silver medals, as well as outstanding researchers from various disdisciplineThis year, the university conferred a total of 3830 degrees to students which included 177 PhD scholars, 1,075 postgraduate students, 2,389 undergraduates, and 189 diploma holders. Furthermore, 86 gold medals and 87 silver medals were presented, program by program, in recognition of outstanding academic achievement.
Dr. Saba Siddiqui conducted the event. Iram Naaz M.Sc (Mathematics) and Alveera Parveen Aqil, M.tech ( Biotechnology) received gold and silver medal respectively for being the university toppers. Mr. Tanveer Alam (BBA-IBM, 2nd year) received the first award on behalf of Siddinfotech Private Limited (AffiliateKaro) for Tech Innovation Startup and Mr. Arafat Alam Khan (MCA, 2nd year) received the second award on behalf of Dark Elafi Industries Private Limited for Social Impact Startup.
Prof. Asma Farooque from Dept of Business Management, and Dr. Tahmeena Khan from the Dept of Chemistry, received awards and grants for being the outstanding researcher of the year, while Dr. Asif Khan from the Dept of Computer Application received awards and grants for Best Innovation Award. Integral University extends its heartfelt congratulations to all graduating students and Medal recipients who have demonstrated unwavering perseverance and dedication in their academic journey. This convocation marks not just the celebration of their achievements but also the beginning of their path as leaders, innovators, and changemakers shaping a better tomorrow.
