Lucknow: The Integral Startups Foundation – Centre for Incubation & Entrepreneurship Development (ISF-CIED) at Integral University, Lucknow, successfully organized the screening and idea-showcasing phase of the MSME Idea Hackathon 6.0 from 18th to 24th August 2026.

Launched under the aegis of the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MoMSME), Government of India, in alignment with the national vision of “Viksit Bharat @2047”, the initiative aims to catalyze grassroots innovation, foster entrepreneurship, and fast-track tech-driven solutions across key frontier sectors.

Focus Areas

  • Host Institution: Integral University, functioning as an approved Host Institution (HI) under the Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME).

  • Funding & Incubation: Approved innovations stand eligible for financial grant support of up to ₹15 lakh per approved idea, coupled with dedicated mentorship, lab infrastructure, and incubation support through ISF-CIED.

  • Core Technological Domains:

    • Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency

    • Industry 4.0 & Industry 5.0

    • Robotics & Industrial Automation

    • Automotive Technology

    • Advanced & Frontier Technologies

 Rigorous Multidisciplinary Evaluation

The evaluation process followed a stringent, transparent, and multi-tier review framework to ensure high commercialization and technical feasibility:

  • Total Submissions Evaluated: Approximately 173 innovative proposals.

  • Ideas Shortlisted: 40 standout ideas were selected and recommended for the next stage of funding and development.

  • Multidisciplinary Evaluation Panel:

    • 5 External Industry Specialists

    • 1 Financial Sector Expert (Academia)

    • 9 Technology & Engineering Experts (Academia)

    • 8 Sector-Specific Theme Experts (Academia)

 Leadership and Execution

The week-long screening event was conducted under the leadership and patronage of:

  • Dr. Nida Fatima, Additional Pro Chancellor, Integral University & Executive Director, Integral Startups Foundation.

  • Dr. Noor Alam Khan, Incubation Manager, ISF-CIED & Associate Professor, Integral Business School, alongside the operational team of ISF-CIED.

The MSME Idea Hackathon 6.0 provided aspiring student entrepreneurs and researchers with an interactive platform to engage with industry veterans, incorporate technical feedback, and refine proof-of-concept models. The initiative reinforces Integral University’s robust startup incubation ecosystem, advancing the collective mission of building an Aatmanirbhar (self-reliant), technology-driven India.
