The inaugural ceremony was led by Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor of Integral University, and attended by prominent figures, including Dr. Anil Joseph, IGS Chairman, as the Chief Guest; Dr. A.P. Singh, IGS Honorary Secretary, as Guest of Honour; Dr. Manojit Samanta, Senior Principal Scientist at CSIR-CBRI, Roorkee, as Guest of Honour; Dr. Vinay Bhushan Chauhan, Honorary Secretary of the IGS Lucknow Chapter; and Prof. Anil Kumar, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology at Integral University. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof. Syed Aqeel Ahmad, Chairman of the IGS Lucknow Chapter and Head of the Civil Engineering Department.

The seminar featured two keynote sessions delivered by Dr. Anil Joseph and Dr. Manojit Samanta, who discussed recent breakthroughs in geotechnical engineering and shared insights into real-world case studies of geotechnical challenges and their industry solutions. Over the two days, the event covered critical topics such as advanced soil testing techniques, eco-friendly foundation designs, and intelligent monitoring systems, emphasizing the crucial role of geotechnical engineering in sustainable infrastructure.

The seminar saw enthusiastic participation from approximately 253 attendees, including students, faculty, and professionals from various institutions and laboratories in Lucknow and nearby areas. Through this initiative, Integral University demonstrated its dedication to promoting innovation, research, and collaboration between academia and industry. The establishment of the IGS Lucknow Chapter is a significant step toward advancing geotechnical engineering, fostering knowledge exchange, and creating new avenues for professional and academic growth in the region.
