Integral University Marks World Mental Health Day with Two-Day International Workshop on “Psychotherapeutic Modalities 2.0”

Lucknow, October 2025 : To mark World Mental Health Day, the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Integral University, Lucknow, organized a two-day International Workshop on “Psychotherapeutic Modalities 2.0” under the gracious guidance of Hon’ble Chancellor Prof. Syed Waseem Akhtar.

The workshop brought together over 250 participants from across India, including academicians, psychologists, counselors, and students from mental health disciplines, creating a vibrant platform for learning and exchange of ideas.
The sessions were led by distinguished experts — Prof. Archana Shukla, Head, Department of Psychology, University of Lucknow; Dr. Anjali Gupta, Senior Psychologist, Nur Manzil Psychiatric Centre, Lucknow; Dr. Neerja Pandey, Rehabilitation Psychologist and Assistant Professor, AIBAS, Lucknow; and Mr. Akash Vishwakarma, Clinical Psychologist, AIIMS, Hyderabad. Their diverse perspectives and in-depth expertise enriched the academic experience for all attendees.
The workshop offered hands-on training and conceptual insights into contemporary therapeutic approaches such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Transactional Analysis, Yoga Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Inner Child Work, and Queer Affirmative Therapy.
Through interactive discussions and experiential exercises, participants gained exposure to integrative healing practices aimed at strengthening emotional resilience, empathy, and professional competence.
This initiative highlights Integral University’s ongoing dedication to mental health advocacy, promoting evidence-based psychotherapeutic learning and fostering holistic well-being in academic and professional communities.
