Integral University Marks World Suicide Prevention Day with Awareness Drive
Rally for Awareness
The day began with a Rally for Awareness, inaugurated by Prof. M.A. Khalid (Dean, Students' Welfare), Prof. A.K. Lodi (Dean, Faculty of Education), Dr. Eklaq Ahmad (Head, Department of Education), and Prof. Zeba Aqil (Head, Department of Humanities & Social Sciences). Students and faculty members actively joined the rally, spreading the message of hope and resilience.
Expert Lecture on Suicide Prevention
An enlightening lecture was delivered by Major (Dr.) Sushil Tiwari, Associate Professor & former Head, St. Andrew’s College, Gorakhpur. Dr. Tiwari addressed the sensitive issue of suicide prevention, emphasizing mental health awareness and the critical role of educators and youth in building emotionally strong communities.
Creative Expressions by Students
To further engage young minds, the program included a Poster Making Competition and a Skit Presentation, providing students with creative platforms to express their ideas, concerns, and commitment to suicide prevention.
Active Participation
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 300 students, faculty members, and staff, making it a remarkable step towards fostering empathy, resilience, and awareness on campus.
