Lucknow : Integral University has added another proud milestone to its innovation journey as Team Twin Spark, led by student Abdul Saboor and mentored by Dr. Mohammad Haroon (Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, under the leadership of Dr. Shish Ahmad), secured a coveted spot in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 – Hardware Edition Grand Finale.

 

This remarkable achievement has brought national recognition to the university, spotlighting its growing excellence in hardware-based innovation. The Grand Finale, organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), Government of India, and AICTE, will be held at the designated SIH Nodal Centre in Punjab from December 8–12, 2025.

A Rising Star in India’s Innovation Landscape

 

Team Twin Spark’s journey to the national finale began during the Smart India Hackathon 2025 – Internal Edition, held at Integral University on 4th and 8th September 2025. The event, conducted by the Integral Startups Foundation – Centre for Incubation & Entrepreneurship Development (ISF-CIED), transformed the campus into a vibrant arena of creativity, collaboration, and cutting-edge problem-solving.

 

A diverse group of 68 teams competed with remarkable energy, tackling 37 real-world problem statements along with one student-initiated innovation. After thorough evaluation by experts from IIT Madras, IEDUP, and Integral University, 50 teams advanced to subsequent rounds—reflecting the high calibre of ideas presented.

Leadership & Expert Mentorship that Drove Excellence

 

The innovation marathon was steered under the visionary guidance of
Dr. Nida Fatima, Additional Pro-Chancellor, Integral University & Executive Director, ISF-CIED.

The event’s jury panel brought together distinguished experts, including:

  • Mr. Alok Pandey – Founder, ITech & Consultant, IEDUP

  • Dr. Noor Alam Khan – Incubation Manager, ISF-CIED

  • Mr. Ashutosh Kumar – Project Lead, Pravartak, IIT Madras

  • Dr. Roshan Jahan – Assistant Professor, Dept. of CSE

  • Dr. Mirza Ghazanfar Beg – Assistant Professor, Dept. of Computer Application

Their insights and mentorship added extraordinary strength and direction to the competition.

Recognizing Exceptional Student Innovation

 

The event also honored standout performers with cash awards:

  • 1st Prize (₹10,000) – Code Karma

  • 2nd Prize (₹8,000 each) – Codevative and Phoenix Coders

  • 3rd Prize (₹5,000) – KTU-Codes
