Lucknow, September 11, 2026: Ishaara at Phoenix Palassio has brought The Gourmet Begum, a celebrated culinary experience inspired by the rich food traditions of Awadh, to Lucknow. Available for a limited period, the experience features an extensive selection of traditional Awadhi dishes, bringing together age-old recipes, slow-cooking techniques and the distinctive flavours of the Nawabi table.
After making its mark in cities including Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, The Gourmet Begum has returned to Lucknow, the heartland of Awadhi cuisine. The specially curated menu has been created by Sunaeyaa Kapur and Chef Shahnawaz Qureshi, offering diners an opportunity to explore the depth and diversity of Awadhi culinary traditions.
A menu celebrating the flavours of Awadh
The menu brings together an impressive selection of signature kebabs, dum preparations, pulaos, biryanis, breads and desserts.Highlights include Galawat Kebab, Mahi Tikka, Murg Baradari, Matbakh ‘E’ Nihari, Suleimani Raan and Rumi Biryani. The selection is complemented by traditional breads such as Sheermal and Warqi Paratha, along with the indulgent Warq ‘E’ Shahi Tukda.
The experience also features an extensive selection of vegetarian and Jain dishes, ensuring a wider range of choices for diners.
