Kashmiri Talent Shines in Bollywood: Faheem Abdullah & Arslan Nizami Debut with Saiyaara’s Title Track
The soulful title track of Saiyaara, launched recently, has captivated audiences and revealed an exciting musical collaboration. Helmed by renowned composer Tanishk Bagchi, the song also credits Faheem and Arslan as co-composers, with lyrics penned by the legendary Irshad Kamil. The song not only sets the emotional tone for the film but also represents a significant milestone for Kashmiri music on the national stage.
Faheem Abdullah: A Dream Realised
Faheem, who has given his voice to the title track, shared his gratitude:“It’s an honour to represent Kashmir in the Hindi film industry. Our region is rich with artistic talent, and to debut in a YRF and Mohit Suri project is truly a dream come true. I hope this moment makes everyone back home proud.”
He further added,“This is a deeply emotional experience for me, my family, and everyone who has supported me. ‘Saiyaara’ is a track filled with heart and soul, and I’ve poured everything into it under the brilliant mentorship of Tanishk Bagchi and Mohit Suri sir. I share this special moment with Arslan — without him, this wouldn’t have been possible.”
Arslan Nizami: Breaking Barriers
Composer Arslan Nizami expressed disbelief and joy at the opportunity:“A few years ago, I could’ve never imagined being part of a Bollywood film, let alone composing music for Mohit Suri! It’s a milestone moment in my career, and being able to co-create this track with Faheem and Tanishk Bagchi is beyond surreal.”
He continued,“We’re two Kashmiri artists in Mumbai, trying to prove ourselves on a national platform. I’m grateful to Mohit sir for believing in us. His support gave us the wings to dream bigger and fly higher.”
