LU Delegation Visits Sri Lanka's Top Universities, Explores Academic Collaborations

Pandey):  In a significant move to strengthen academic and cultural relations between India and Sri Lanka, a delegation from the University of Lucknow, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, visited the University of Colombo and Sri Jayewardenepura University on Monday. The initiative, undertaken under the banner "Dakshinapath: Samvaad evam Samanvay," marks a step forward in the university’s efforts to establish global academic partnerships.

During the meetings, both sides engaged in productive discussions focused on a variety of collaborative opportunities, including joint research projects, dual degree programs, and faculty-student exchange initiatives. The aim is to foster mutual academic growth while enhancing cross-cultural understanding between the two nations.

Prof. Alok Kumar Rai emphasized that this visit reflects Lucknow University’s dedication to expanding its global academic presence and nurturing long-term, impactful international collaborations. He stated,“Partnering with prestigious institutions in Sri Lanka allows us to open new avenues for our students, faculty, and researchers. These academic alliances will pave the way for interdisciplinary research, international exposure, and culturally rich learning experiences.”
