Lucknow’s Youngest Educationist Piyush Singh Chauhan Delivers Landmark TEDx Talk at TEDxGGSIPU 2026
New Delhi | April 07, 2026: In a significant milestone for the academic and leadership ecosystem of Lucknow, Piyush Singh Chauhan, Vice Chairman of SR Group of Institutions (SRGI), has become the youngest educationist from the city to be featured as a speaker on the global TEDx platform. Delivering his address at TEDxGGSIPU 2026, Chauhan shared a vision that bridges the gap between traditional values and modern leadership.
The event was organized by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Club under 'Srijan,' Directorate of Students Welfare (DSW), at GGS Indraprastha University.
Theme: "OG – Old is Gold: Legacy to Leadership"
Aligned with the event’s central theme, Mr. Chauhan delivered a high-impact address that blended philosophy with strategic leadership. His narrative focused on the transformational power of resilience and value-based leadership in today’s volatile global market.
Highlighting the necessity of struggle, he remarked Gold is not born in comfort—it is forged under intense heat and pressure. Similarly, true leadership emerges only when one embraces challenges rather than evades them."
Strategic Insight through Storytelling
Using the powerful analogy of two stones—one that resisted the sculptor's chisel and remained a pebble, and another that endured the pain to become a revered idol—Mr. Chauhan illustrated a deeper leadership paradigm:
-
The Ordinary: Those who avoid discomfort and remain stagnant.
-
The Extraordinary: Those who endure, evolve, and transform through adversity.
This storytelling approach resonated deeply with the audience, effectively positioning adversity as a strategic enabler for growth rather than a setback.
Youth as India’s Strategic Capital
A vocal advocate for India’s youth, Chauhan highlighted the country’s demographic dividend. With over 65% of the population under the age of 35, he asserted that student power is India’s greatest strategic asset. He emphasized the urgent need to channel this energy into innovation, ethical leadership, and nation-building.
A Legacy Built on Vision
Reflecting on his journey, Piyush Singh Chauhan paid tribute to the foundational vision of his father, Pawan Singh Chauhan, who established SRGI in 2009 with a modest 240 students. He noted how these enduring "Old is Gold" values continue to serve as the North Star for the institution’s current strategic growth and academic excellence.
The Call to Action: "Leave Your Mathura"
Concluding his address with a powerful call to action, Mr. Chauhan challenged the next generation to step beyond their comfort zones. His closing statement provided a cinematic and cultural perspective on transformation:
"To build your own Dwarka, you must be willing to leave a conquered Mathura."
This recognition on a global intellectual platform marks a proud moment for the students and faculty of SRGI. It reflects not only individual excellence but also the rising prominence of Lucknow’s educational leaders in the global discourse on leadership and innovation.
