MAX@Home Launches ‘MAX Comprehensive Elder Care Programme’ in Lucknow to Provide Home Healthcare Services for Senior Citizens
Lucknow, August 21, 2026: On the occasion of World Senior Citizens Day, MAX@Home, the home healthcare arm of Max Healthcare, in association with Max Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow, today announced the launch of the ‘MAX Comprehensive Elder Care Programme’. The programme is among the first integrated, hospital-backed elder-care initiatives in Lucknow aimed at providing continuous, personalised healthcare services to senior citizens in the comfort of their homes.
The programme is open to senior citizens living in Lucknow and surrounding areas who require structured and comprehensive healthcare support at home.
India is undergoing a significant demographic transition, with its elderly population growing rapidly. By 2036, senior citizens are expected to account for nearly 15% of the country’s total population, representing more than 230 million people. By 2050, more than one in five Indians is projected to be above the age of 60.
With increasing life expectancy, many older adults are living with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, arthritis and dementia. These conditions often require regular medical supervision, monitoring and preventive care. At the same time, many young professionals from Lucknow live and work in other cities or abroad, while their ageing parents continue to live independently. This can make it challenging for families to provide regular healthcare support or respond promptly during emergencies.
Hospital-backed healthcare at home
The MAX Comprehensive Elder Care Programme, developed under the clinical guidance of Dr. Asit Kumar, Consultant – Geriatric and Internal Medicine, Max Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow, seeks to address this caregiving gap by bringing hospital-backed medical expertise, clinical monitoring and personalised care directly to seniors at home.
The programme offers multiple care packages, enabling families to select the level of support according to their loved one's healthcare requirements. A multidisciplinary team works through a coordinated care model to provide a range of services.
These include:
- Comprehensive geriatric assessment at home
- Virtual consultations with a geriatrician
- Nursing care
- Physiotherapy sessions
- Virtual nutrition and psychological counselling
- Home-based vital monitoring
- Wellness calls from a dedicated care manager
- Full-body blood check-ups
- 24×7 virtual emergency support
- Ambulance coordination
- Personalised care planning
Focus on continuity of care
Mr. Vikram Verma, Executive Vice President & Business Head, MAX@Home, said, “With India’s ageing population and changing family structures, there is a growing need for organised and dependable healthcare solutions that extend beyond the hospital setting. Through the MAX Comprehensive Elder Care Programme, we are strengthening the continuum of care by bringing together clinical expertise, technology and personalised home-based services under one integrated model. This initiative reflects Max Healthcare’s commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare and creating more connected, patient-centric care pathways that support seniors and their families at every stage of their healthcare journey.”
Speaking on the launch, Dr. Asit Kumar, Consultant – Geriatric and Internal Medicine, Max Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow, said, “As our population ages, healthcare must evolve to address the unique needs of older adults. Many senior citizens today live with multiple chronic conditions that require continuous monitoring and coordinated care. Through this MAX Comprehensive Elder Care Programme, we aim to bring hospital-backed medical support into seniors’ homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life, while giving families greater peace of mind.”
Enrolment begins from August 21
The programme is available for enrolment from August 21, 2026. Families can enrol by calling the 24×7 MAX@Home Helpline at 8744 888 888, visiting the MAX@Home Help Desk at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow, or contacting their treating consultant or physician at the hospital.

The MAX Comprehensive Elder Care Programme is part of MAX@Home’s ongoing efforts to strengthen integrated healthcare delivery and extend specialised medical expertise beyond the hospital environment. By combining clinical expertise, technology and personalised home-based services, the initiative aims to provide seniors with accessible, coordinated and patient-centric care while offering families greater confidence in the ongoing healthcare of their loved ones.
