PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya IIM Lucknow Students Explore Innovation and Entrepreneurship at GITM
Lucknow, September 30, 2026:PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIM Lucknow participated in the “Field Visit and Idea Creation”activity under the DICE (Developing Innovation Culture and Entrepreneurship) Programmeon September 30, 2026. The programme was funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and AICTEand organised by Goel Institute of Technology and Management (GITM), Lucknow.
The activity was organised with the objective of fostering innovation, creativity, problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial thinkingamong school students.
The programme began with the felicitation of the visiting school faculty members, followed by an engaging expert session on Idea Creation. During the session, students were guided on identifying real-world problems, generating innovative ideas and developing solutions with practical and social relevance.
Students Witness Working Prototypes
As part of the programme, GITM students demonstrated several working prototypes to the visiting students. The demonstrations provided participants with practical insights into how innovative ideas can be transformed into functional solutions.The students also participated in a hands-on IoT-based session, which introduced them to emerging technologies and their practical applications.
Visit to Innovation and Skill Development Facilities
During the field visit, the students explored various facilities at GITM, including the Centre of Excellence (CoE), Idea and Prototype Lab, and Skill Development Centre. The visits provided valuable exposure to emerging technologies, innovation infrastructure, prototyping processes and skill development opportunities. A total of 50 students and four faculty members from PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIM Lucknow benefited from the activity.
The programme provided an enriching platform for students to gain practical exposure to innovation, emerging technologies, working prototypes and entrepreneurial practices. The activity also strengthened their understanding of problem identification, idea generation and solution development, contributing to the development of an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset among the participating students.
