Prerna Girls School Hosts Self-Defense Session in Collaboration with Axis Bank and 1090

Lucknow desk (R L Pandey).Prerna Girls School, in collaboration with Axis Bank, hosted a Women’s Self-Defense Session, empowering girls with crucial self-defense skills and safety awareness. The event was graced by Addl. SP, Rukmani Verma,
Women and child security Organization (WCSO) 1090, Kunal Gupta, Circle Head, Retail Branch Banking, Axis Bank, Aditi Chakravarty, Circle Head TASC, AXIS Bank and Vivek Kumar Singh, Regional Head, Institutional Banking,TASC who emphasized the importance of self-protection and the resources available for women’s safety. The session featured an interactive Tool Box Talk by the 1090 team, educating students about call center services for women's security, followed by a hands-on self-defense training led by Grand Master Gaurav Chauhan.
Speaking at the event, Rukmani Verma, ADDL SP, Women and child security Organization (WCSO) 1090 said, “Self-defense is not just about physical strength but about awareness and confidence. It is essential for every young girl to know how to protect herself and seek help when needed.”
Kunal Gupta, Circle Head, Retail Branch Banking, Axis Bank highlighted the importance of initiatives like these, stating, “Empowering young girls with self-defense skills ensures that they feel safe and confident in any situation. The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony and opening remarks from distinguished guests, setting the tone for an inspiring and impactful session.
