Prerna Schools follow a gender-transformative educational model that extends far beyond classroom learning. While girls are encouraged to question inequality, make informed choices, and understand their rights, boys are taught to reflect on masculinity, challenge harmful stereotypes, and build respectful and empathetic attitudes. This approach focuses not only on academic success but also on holistic life outcomes, self-confidence, and social awareness—especially for first-generation learners.

Addressing the graduating students, Sri Asim Arun highlighted the transformative power of education. He said, “Education remains the strongest foundation for a secure and dignified life. When young girls and boys develop clarity, skills, and confidence, it strengthens their future as well as the future of the nation. Prerna’s work clearly shows how education can shape responsible citizens and drive real social and economic change.”

Dr. Urvashi Sahni, CEO of SHEF, praised the students’ determination and resilience. She said, “Our children overcome daily challenges and still achieve remarkable academic progress. But the greatest impact is seen in their lives. At Prerna, child marriage has reduced to zero, and girls are taking control of their choices and futures. When education is rooted in dignity and equality, it transforms learning outcomes into powerful life outcomes.”
