Lucknow desk (R L Pandey).In an enlightening session hosted by the Center of Excellence in Biological Rhythm Research under the project sponsored by Science and Engineering Research Board-Scientific Social Responsibility Activity (SERB-SSR), Department of Zoology, Professor Anand Mishra, Head, Deptt of endocrine surgery, KGMU delivered a captivating public lecture on the theme of "Diagnosis and Management of Endocrine Disorders." The event emphasized various endocrine conditions, with a particular focus on thyroid and parathyroid disorders. He was as simple in describing the evaluation, diagnosis and management of endocrine diseases mainly thyroid and parathyroid related.

The event commenced with an opening speech, followed by the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge. Professor M. Serajuddin, Head of the Department of Zoology, delivered an engaging introduction that set the tone for the discussion, highlighting the significance of the topic. 

Professor Shalie Malik, who is running SERB grant briefed attendees about the SERB-SSR Policy and its pivotal role in academia, as well as introducing Professor Mishra's notable achievements.

Professor Anand Mishra provided a comprehensive overview of thyroid disorders and parathyroid disorders, discussing symptoms, case studies, diagnostic methods, and management strategies, including dosages and surgical interventions. The lecture was notable for its interactive format, allowing participants to engage deeply with the material. Attendees left with transformative insights, enhancing their understanding of endocrinology.

Overall, the lecture proved to be a rich source of knowledge, fostering a greater appreciation for the complexities of endocrine disorders among the students, thanks to the collaborative efforts of all involved.
