Lucknow desk (R L Pandey).Sanya Gupta, a second-year PhD student in the Department of Ancient Indian History and Archaeology at University of Lucknow, recently presented her research paper on the topic, “Antarrashtriya Ram Katha Sangrahalaya: Cultural Custodian of Ayodhya” at the prestigious World Archaeological Congress (WAC-10), held in Darwin, Australia from June 22nd-28th, 2025. She is pursuing her Ph. D. under the supervision of Prof Durgesh Srivastava.

The World Archaeological Congress is one of the most significant global gatherings in the field of archaeology. Convened every four years, it brings together scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to engage in meaningful dialogue, share cutting-edge research, and address pressing issues related to heritage, culture, and archaeological practice. 

Adding to this achievement, she was awarded the Early Career Research Women Scholarship—an honor that recognizes outstanding promise and potential among emerging female scholars. With this recognition, she becomes one of the youngest researchers in the country to receive this distinguished scholarship.
