Salman Khan and Deputy CM Eknath Shinde Visit Rahul Narain Kanal’s Ganpati Celebrations
Mumbai: The arrival of Lord Ganesha at social activist and philanthropist Rahul Narain Kanal’s Bandra residence filled the atmosphere with devotion, togetherness, and vibrant celebrations. Known as the Social Media Head of the state’s ruling party, Kanal hosted a memorable Ganeshotsav that witnessed the presence of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, both of whom came to seek Bappa’s blessings.
Beyond a Personal Celebration
For Rahul Kanal, Ganeshotsav is not limited to a family festival but serves as an occasion of community service and social awareness. Through his I Love Mumbai Foundation:
-
Prasad is transformed into meals for the underprivileged.
-
Eco-friendly clay idols promote environmental sustainability.
-
Visarjan rituals are accompanied by tree plantation drives, spreading the message of green living.
Spirit of Togetherness
This year, the celebrations reflected inclusivity and harmony. Volunteers distributed prasad in the lanes of Bandra, ensuring everyone could be part of the festivity. Actor Salman Khan, who has long collaborated with Kanal on several social initiatives, was among the first to pay his respects at the Ganpati pandal. Soon after, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde also arrived to offer prayers and join the spiritual fervor.
